April 19, 1998
The Lord initially shared this special Word on March 7, 1998. Saturday evening as I was meditating on the Word when I was awakened by the Spirit of God who spoke to me in an audible voice saying:
"The Word of God Stands Tall -- It Does Not Sit Down."
That was the end of the message. I sat up in bed almost jolted and looked around. I saw no one. I immediately knew that it was the voice of God that spoke to me. Realizing this I asked God what He was trying to tell me. I did not understand why He spoke these words to me. I shared this revelation with my prayer partners, my instructor and a fellow church member. I did not get an answer to my questions. We could not figure out what the Lord was saying.
The Lord revealed to me in prayer during a worship service the meaning of "The Word of God Stands Tall -- It Does Not Sit Down." This is what the Lord said:
"I desire for the Word of God to stand tall in all Christians' lives. You must read, study, meditate on My Word. The Body of Christ must pray, fast continually and fellowship with Me. You must seek My face, obey My Word and get to know My heart. Once this is accomplished, "The Word of God will Stand Tall" in your lives. The evidence will be the Word manifested. That is, the Word will come to life - to the pulling down of strong-holds, destroying yokes in people lives, healing the sick, mending broken homes and hearts, and doing whatever else is required of the Lord.
For example, in the old Testament "The Word Stood Tall" during the time of Abraham and Isaac when God told Abraham to prepare Isaac as a sacrifice, Genesis 22:1-13. When Isaac did not see a lamb, he asked, "My father, where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" Abraham answered, "My son, God will provide for Himself a lamb..." The ram caught in the thicket was used as the sacrifice for that particular occasion. The sacrificial lamb that Abraham was referring to even then, as "The Word Stood Tall" was Jesus Christ, the ultimate LAMB OF GOD who was to be crucified approximately 4000 years later. For you see, as even - 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, ' ( John 1:1). "The Word Stood Tall."
